3-28-07 Wow what a day. I saw two class 1a patients today. The first pt was 7 and she took me forever for some reason. The second patient was 9 and I finished her up really quickly with the help of my instructor. Today I used the digital xrays and that was really good. It is so fast. Today was a good day I still need to get faster

3-26-07 Class 2 patient. Today I finished scaling my class 2. It was my class 2 exam. Well it took me a long time and I missed a ton of spots sub gingivally. Even though I missed a ton of spots I really learned a lot. I can't be afraid to go subgingivally and scale. So they showed and watched me how to explore and scale those areas. I also did a sealant and passed off the air powder polisher PE, that was very helpful to get those done!

3/21/07 Wow what a day. Today I had my husband come in early and I took a pano on him. For some reason one of the pano's came out blank and so I had to make a duplicate. then I finished a pt that was 2 quads of a class two and passed off three pe's. The ta really helped show me how to ultrasonic better and how to instrument better. She was so helpful. Then I had another pt come and I cleaned two quads on him. One of his quads was a class two. I had a hard time with the lower linguals and I really need to work on those, for some reason I have a hard time with my indirect vision. Today was a good day I got a lot accomplished and have a lot to work on!
3/19/07 Today was my birthday! Also it was the first time that I did not have a pt show up. It was my fault because I did not confirm with them, good lesson to learn. Well I had my husband pick up my nephew and they got here really late. He was a 1a and I finished him. He was my first child pt so it was very interesting. I forgot about the primary teeth and and was trying to figure that. I need to review the primary teeth and the times when the permanent teeth should be coming in. Also, my xrays were awful and I need to work on those with a child. It was a really good experience and very different to have a 1a.
